TNC series
The TNC connectors are threaded RF connectors applicable from DC up to 11 GHz; precision designs using a dielectric bead are suitable for use up to 18 GHz. The threaded coupling mechanism improves control over the interface dimensions and allows them to be used under a higher environmental load than BNC, especially under a high vibration load.
This connector range is suitable for the standard range of flexible and semi-rigid cables and is also available in PCB and panel mount versions.
The characteristic impedance of the TNC coaxial connectors is 50 ohm or 75 ohm. Within the internationally standardized TNC mating face dimensions a perfect 75 ohm characteristic impedance can not be realized. However, at frequencies up to 1 GHz the small impedance deviation is negligible fro practical applications.
TNC coaxial connectors meet the specification of IEC 60169-17 and MIL-C-39012.
